BioFire’s FilmArray Respiratory Panels test for a comprehensive list of respiratory pathogens which cause upper respiratory tract infections (URTIs). The FilmArray integrates sample preparation, amplification, detection and analysis into one simple system that requires 2 minutes of hands on time and has a total run time of about 1 hour.

The FilmArray Multiplex PCR System Respiratory Panel is incredibly comprehensive, with simultaneous testing for 20 of the most common pathogens involved in UTRI. The FilmArray Respiratory Panel tests for 17 viruses and 3 bacteria which cause upper respiratory tract infections with an overall sensitivity and specificity of 95% and 99% respectively.
