Queensland Police Service awards contract to EPE to enhance Explosive Ordnance Response Team

EPE in collaboration with leading Canadian uncrewed ground vehicles (UGV) manufacturer ICOR Technology, has been awarded a contract by the Queensland Police Service, to provide the Explosive Ordnance Response Team (EORT) with five new Remote Positioning Vehicles-Medium to upgrade its explosive ordnance response capabilities.

Under this contract, EPE provides ICOR’s CALIBER FLEX to provide the Queensland Police Service with advanced bomb robots allowing technicians to remotely approach, investigate and render safe real and suspected improvised explosive devices .

Over the past month, EPE has been delivering extensive training for bomb technicians from the Explosive Ordnance Response Team (EORT) and Regional Bomb Response Teams (RBRT) to master the operation of these advanced bomb robots. This training will be complemented by ongoing Through Life Support (TLS) delivered locally in Australia.
