
Two Ministers and an Aussie Moon rover.
Ministers Tim Ayres and Andrew Giles joined our Head of Agency Enrico Palermo to visit RMIT University‘s Advanced Manufacturing Precinct to announce Roo-ver has been assigned its mission.
RMIT is one of around 20 organisations in the Roo-ver Mission consortium that is designing, building and will operate the semi-autonomous rover on the lunar surface.
Minister Ayres described Roo-ver as “one of the most specialised robotics and advanced manufacturing projects in the country.”
“Roo-ver is a prime example of how space can be a driver of the Albanese Labor Government’s Future Made in Australia agenda to grow national industrial capability, boost productivity, and build economic resilience,” Minister Ayres said
