About the role
We are seeking a Capability Manager: EOD and Tactical Systems to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of robotic and autonomous systems capabilities across Defence, Law Enforcement, and Government sectors.
As a subject matter expert in uncrewed systems, you will act as the key interface between internal delivery teams, technology partners, and clients. This role spans the full lifecycle of capability management from requirements capture through to delivery, sustainment, and innovation.
You will work with cutting-edge robotics and autonomous technologies to deliver scalable, effective solutions for the Australian Defence Force, international partners, and allied clients, while also building strong client relationships and driving new opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop sales opportunities for EPE’s robotics, EOD and tactical system capabilities.
- Identify capability gaps and propose innovative solutions to meet operational needs.
- Forecast and track sales pipelines using CRM tools.
- Provide subject matter expertise to internal teams, clients, and partners.
- Monitor emerging trends in robotics, autonomy, and AI, and assess their application for Defence and government.
- Manage client relationships, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Prepare accurate quotes and maintain up-to-date records in CRM systems.
- Coordinate equipment receipt, testing, calibration, and despatch with logistics teams.
- Deliver equipment training and technical demonstrations to clients and stakeholders.
- Act as the principal point of contact for OEMs, managing expectations and new technology updates.
- Represent EPE at conferences, industry events, and client demonstrations.
- Ensure all product documentation, media, and collateral are accurate and current.
- Uphold company values, quality standards, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Technical or operational experience in uncrewed systems, including ground systems.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a commercial environment with Defence and/or Law Enforcement agencies.
- Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills across all levels.
- Proven ability to deliver customer-focused solutions and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (minimum NV1).
Desirable:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Business qualifications (Certificate or Diploma).
- Experience in commercial sales to Defence, First Responders, or Government.
- Training delivery experience.
