We welcomes Dave Wise – Support Services Manager, EPE NZ and UROVESA VAMTAC Vehicle Support

EPE is pleased to welcome Dave Wise as our new Support Services Manager, EPE NZ and UROVESA VAMTAC Vehicle Support.

Dave enlisted into the NZ Army as a Vehicle Technician and had a long and successful career before recently leaving and joining EPE to take up the position of ‘Support Services Manager’ for EPE (NZ). Dave will be responsible for managing all aspects of Through-Life Support (TLS) including the EPE (NZ) support contracts. Through our Service Agreement with UROVESA, Dave will be providing support to the NZDF UROVESA Utility Vehicle project acquisition and then support, which will include attending two months of in-depth training at the UROVESA manufacturing facility in Spain.

Dave brings with him operational service experience having served in the Sinai and Timor-Leste, providing vehicle support to the NZ Battalion. He has been employed in a wide range of roles in his military career including Senior Facilitator NZ Army Leadership centre, The Senior Warrant Officer Automotive Training School, Formation Workshop manager (ASM), and The Senior Automotive Technical advisor, NZ Army.

In the latter stages of his military career, Dave has been employed in numerous vehicle acquisition projects as the Senior Automotive Technician. He has extensive technical and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) experience and has been involved in multiple vehicle acquisition projects through definition to delivery phases, including MAN Trucks, Supacat, and Bushmaster vehicles. Dave’s most recent role was Senior Automotive Technician, within the Protected Mobility Capability Project (PMCP) supporting the contract to deliver the UROVESA VAMTAC light and medium range of vehicles into the NZ Defence Force, with a first tranche delivery planned for early 2027.

In the role of Support Services Manager, through the Service Agreement between EPE (NZ) and UROVESA, Dave will also provide support to UROVESA and their customers, both in the APAC region, and potentially worldwide.

Dave was awarded a Chief of Army commendation during his service in recognition of his efforts as the senior Automotive technician NZ Army. Dave brings with him a wealth of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and military vehicle knowledge, ranging from acquisition to maintenance and supply support. He is also well experienced in Supply chain Management, Quality management, and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Dave and his wife Cassandra live in Wellington and have two adult children. In his spare time Dave enjoys fishing and diving.
